Date: September 20, 2008 11:33PM Just ordered some different kinds. I am obsessed with medjool, and I just have to get some new ones to try. So I went with honey and halawi. I'm excited to see what they'll taste like Re: datesss

I believe it was Herbert Shelton, of Natural Hygiene fame, who said, "Anything that has to be eaten in moderation, is best not eaten at all". Probably better to go with Apricots, or Figs......WY Re: datesss

Date: September 21, 2008 12:40AM pft, whatever. it's not like i'm going to be gorging myself on dozens of them at a time. i can manage one or even two medjool dates per serving and that's enough for me. they are such a fantastic sugar/chocolate craving fix, i could never eat sweets again with them around! *loves dates* Re: datesss

Date: September 21, 2008 12:44AM I do, right after exercise. Get those blood sugar levels back up. Like, 10 or 13 sometimes. I should probably cut back, haha, but they're just great. Re: datesss

Date: September 21, 2008 05:06PM Figs and apricots are dried usually in ovens, and even if they are dried in the sun, they taste like fermented to me. Whereas dates come somehow dried in a natural state. So I'd rather go for dates than for figs or apricots... Love medjool dates and eat them bountifully when the feeling strikes. They are wonderful blended with a nut milk and some ginger root. Mmmm. Re: datesss

------------------------------------------------------- > Shouldn't everything be eaten in moderation? That depends on the person. It seems like Moderation is not a popular way-of-life among the Date eaters here. There's some- thing about Dates that don't do it for me. But then again, who else, besides me, likes Collards, Kale, and Sea Lettuce in Green Smoothies? We're all different. Moderation to one is Excessive to another.....WY Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
