Date: September 23, 2008 03:20PM I made my photo smaller. I apologize.
I remember this forum as having sometimes huge billboards for a lot of signatures. It must have changed . I have not been on here for a year. Hope that makes it easier to read! Did anyone look at Johnny's blog? Love Suvine Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 09/23/2008 03:21PM by suvine. Re: Johnny from 20/20 show. His blog

Date: September 23, 2008 04:13PM Thanks for posting that suvine.
I wonder though if he is on Tyra whether it is somewhat making a celebrity out of him and his illness possibly making it more difficult for him to recover. I don't mean to be mean, as he sounds like a sweet guy, and it is not nice to see someone suffer like this. I've had food issues myself, minor though in comparison to his and they can be difficult to overcome. I can understand that he wants to make orthorexia, mnore understood but it could just lead to more confusion like the stossel interview. Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 09/23/2008 04:17PM by Ariel55. Date: September 24, 2008 02:42AM He's so sad. I've never heard such intense OCD behavior. I really think he's reaching out the only way he knows how. I pray for him. I don't know if he CAN get better... maybe with psyche drugs. :-( WendySmiling in Oklahoma www.16weeks2health.blogspot.com 12/17/10.......240/155/125 Re: Johnny from 20/20 show. His blog

Date: September 25, 2008 03:07AM I think he will get better. Why did he want to be so skinny? What role models are there for skinny guys? It just doesn't make sense.
He said raw food saved his life. He really is skinny. Yes I agree he is going to be on Tyra then Oprah probably. Re: Johnny from 20/20 show. His blog

Date: September 25, 2008 03:41AM When I said I didn;t think he could get better, I was talking about the severe OCD problem he explains in his blog with defication. I won't say anymore here. It's quite disturbing. WendySmiling in Oklahoma www.16weeks2health.blogspot.com 12/17/10.......240/155/125 Re: Johnny from 20/20 show. His blog

Date: September 26, 2008 02:03AM He had anorxia and bulimia for years and nearly died weighing in the high 60's. He decided to eat raw, and it's more "safe" for ana/mias, but then the eating disorder changed to orthorexia where he is consumed with only eating the purest food. He washes his hands until they crack and bleed. He has problems with his father abandoning him and he wrote a piece on child molestation. He can't leave the house to work because he's too consumed with being "clean" on the inside and spends up to 50 times a day trying to cleanse his colon.
The site that links off the one you originally posted is quite something. He seems to genuinely want to help others by sharing his experience. Both his parents were ana/mia and his mom started him on laxatives at 15 (I think it was). He is also identifies as gender non-specific, which I imagine would be difficult. I hope he makes it. suvine Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Why did he want to be > so skinny? What role models are there for skinny > guys? Date: September 26, 2008 11:34AM Thank you, Suvine, for the link. He has a link to the 20/20 story that he was in. Very interesting. The guy definitely has some issues which he needs to overcome. He does not look healthy. On the other hand, you look well. Re: Johnny from 20/20 show. His blog
