What do you normally eat for breakfast?

It seems to me that most folks that are on the SAD tend to eat the same thing for breakfast everyday. I am a beginner going raw so I am only doing raw for breakfast and lunch for the first week or so. I really miss the bowlof oatmeal smothered in sugar that I have been getting for the past several years. This week I have been having an apple and perhaps some nuts for breakfast. I started soaking some grains yesterday so I thought I would experiment. This morning's breakfast was a bowl of (barely) sprouted wheatberries mixed with a very small amount of raw honey. Much to my surprise it was very tastey and satisfying! I think I might experiment with other sprouted grains.

Anyways, what is y'alls normal breakfast like?

Most of the time I eat a series of melon mono meals for the first part of my day. These melon mono meals are small in volume and each are separated by a slight return of hunger signal provided by my body.

i like to make a fruit smoothie with homemade almond milk. Or i'll snack on fruit and nuts. I try to only eat fruit in the morning, its energy food! Sometimes i make myself cucumber, lemon, and ginger juice. Its a great energizing drink to have in the morning too.

Hope this helps!

Whole fruits, usually high water content ones such as melons, grapes, peaches etc. If I eat anything else in the am it slows me down, makes my brain foggy and tends to make me crave to overeat and crave cooked. Sometimes Fruit smoothies such as banana/blueberry, banana/papaya orange juice/banana are also a favorite. I would think if you are used to an oatmeal breakfast bananas, nuts and dates might give you that filling tummy experience. Sprouted grains in almond milk is also a great option. I don't do grains right now but I used to sprout amaranth and eat it with banana milk (couple bananas blended w/water and couple of dates).

on the porch with my smoothie slurpin hubby (1 orange, 2 apples). Gets me my 20 minutes of sun for the day, too.

2 halves of a large juicy pink grapefruit- depitted, scliced around the perimeter, and the fibrous core. Sprinkled lightly with stevia powder. I also munch on the pulp for added nutrition (collagen aids cell repair/growth).

Fruit smoothie- made from raisons (soaked the night before) mixed in a little H2O, with some cinnamon powder, chopped half apple, half pear, chopped slightly unripened banana or two- blended until smooth and creamy.

I go through different breakfast trends and phases, but lately it's been cantalaupe juice. Before that, it was smoothies based on pineapple.

When we are craving oatmeal we soak steel cut oats overnight and the next morning drain and add fruit such as orange juice, bananas, dates, raisins or whatever I have and we like to add honey. You can add chopped nuts. Pecans might be good. It is really satisfying.

In the summer I go heavy on the watermelon and the latter part of the summer its grapes galore.

That is what I have been eating a lot of lately dark grapes very sweet.

I give up on the melons come oct.

Next month the citrus starts to arrive and I will have that a few times a week and other days its a lot of papayas more papayas and persimmons as the winter approaches.

I'm a weird one-- can't stand watermelon. I've never, ever liked it-- tastes like cellulose to me. On the other hand, I adore cantalaupe. Tastes are so weird, aren't they?

I ran out of watermelon today and I realized I had become addicted to my watermelon breakfasts. I had to make a quick dash to the store so I could satisfy my craving for watermelon. I find that nothing else does the job of hydrating me as I start the new day like watermelon does. I have set new all time records this year for my watermelon consumption.
