I've heard said that when you look into the mirror and see a raw foodist looking back at you, you are a raw foodist.

Sure! Welcome!

1) Do a quick internal inventory and be honest about the level/percentage of fresh, raw plant foods that you are currently VERY comfortable with.

2) Make a plan to slowly increase by 1-2% per week the amount of fresh, raw plant foods in your diet that you LOVE - until you reach YOUR goal!

3) Always be prepared by eating before you leave the house, and bringing snacks with you.

4) Do not expect those doing the wrong thing to understand or accomodate you. Commit yourself to supporting them by being a happy and successful example of dietary health. Don't try to change anyone else - even your close family or friends. Let your example do the talking.

5) Set VERY small goals and keep them. If you cannot keep them - set SMALLER goals. Do the research....determine what YOU think is best. Then is the time to DO what YOU think is right - and share your successes with others.

-What do you think?

As David says, it is best to go slow, if you try to just go Raw overnight it is highly likely that you will "Crash" and binge eat cooked food within a week and trust me I know from experience that makes you feel terrible.
You've just got to go at your own pace, speed the transition up if you are comfortable, slow it down a little if you become uncomfortable.

There is plenty of information on the internet, so I would get researching right away.

Good luck.

Phil.

Thank You for your reply,As of right now I do eat a lot of uncooked fruits and veggies, due to being a vegan and living in a small town, there's not much out there for me,so I as well was thinking trying to become raw overnight would be unbelievably difficult,as i have tried and the next day i was craving not cooked food, but a peanut butter sandwich!.
As for recipes, and a list of foods that would be considered raw, where would I go to find these?
thank you so much for your help!
