Date: December 25, 2007 06:59PM another acronym: wtf.
I don't like this. We need to separate and make a raw state or small country using the power of civil disobedience. Granted, there will be lots of strange ones running around like Johnny Lovewisdom, but it'd be fun. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 12/25/2007 06:59PM by rawfrancois. Date: December 25, 2007 08:23PM I hope someone presses a law suit for this. Not everyone who earns above the government funded health care guide lines can afford heath care insurance. Forcing someone to buy something they can't afford should be unconstitutional. [rawfoodtrip.blogspot.com] [jugglingforjoy.com] Re: lol @ mandatory health insurance in MA

Date: December 25, 2007 09:03PM I am not nor do I ever engage in something I'm not in agreement with. There is something called civil rights, and we do have an office called Civil Rights Office which I've made a complaint before because of Federal or State policy..and I won.
Next there is your right to civil disobedience..no need to have anyone on your side, although numbers help. Lawsuits..lawyers, money, etc..all seemingly to be middlemen or management type tools..and costly. I like my father before me use as often as I can self help resources..and sometimes those are things that are heard the best. As long as people do what the government says without regard for their lives or livelihoods, the government will just keep getting sillier and sillier ideas about what their citizens will do..I think they must get some laughs out of the general publics expense at times. Date: December 25, 2007 09:40PM I am sure that lawsuits would be made but other countries in Europe have this concept of "it is illegal to be uninsured" for ages so I'm sure there's lots of litigious material the decision is based on.
For me, I have embraced the situation in the US because I can choose what I want to do AND insurance is much cheaper than it is in Europe (but covers less. Which sucks when you're old!) Re: lol @ mandatory health insurance in MA

Date: December 25, 2007 09:48PM Lemoned,
I think, you may be thinking of the governments in Europe that are socialist democracies (that fund social welfare programs -- and that have a broad view of "social welfare" -- as a matter of government policies). The United States is a capitalist democracy (that worships capital). Prism, IMHMO... There *was* something called civil rights. <sigh> Don't mean to start a flame war. Just commenting... a couple of cents worth. Fa la la la la la la la la [www.neilpostman.org] And to all a goodnight. Lee Re: lol @ mandatory health insurance in MA

Date: December 26, 2007 08:11PM California is also working on a similar plan. I wouldn't be surprised if eventually most or all the the other states try to enact some version or another of it. Wishing you vibrant health Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
