Do you just eat them that way or they have to be grounded?

I've eaten the nibs in that form with some raisins for added sweetness. It's like chewing on coffee beans, not too hard to do.

Use them as they are or grind them. Add them to smoothies.

Add them to chocolate, either ground or whole for an extra crunch.

Is it very bitter?
As a non-raw i used to eat some 99% cacao chocolate... Must be similar, without the sweetness

I'm sure it's similar to your 99% chocolate. They are bitter, I usually use them with something sweet to make the expected chocolate flavour.

I really like them as a topping on raw chocolate ice cream although I found that they don't work as well as powder for making the ice cream itself.

I tried eating them plain and they were a bit too bitter for me.

I grind them and then blend them with dates or figs. Great stuff. You can add sesame seeds and vanilla to this if you like.
