If you are looking for a particular nutrient you can use this search engine. The only thing that I don't like about this search engine is that, for most nutrients you have to click on a link to find out the actual amount, it doesn't display on the search page. But it will sort categories of food in order of the amount of the nutrient from highest to lowest. [www.personaldietplanner.com] Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/01/2008 11:47PM by Lillianswan. Date: July 02, 2008 01:09AM In general, fruits are the food with the highest percentage of vitamins, and veggies/greens are the food with the highest percentage of minerals. This is comparing them to ANYthing else others may consider as foods, such as animal products, etc.
So a variety of fruits and veggies/greens would cover you more than adequately. Sarah [goingbananasblog.com] Re: Multi-Fruit? Multi-Vegetable? instead of Multi-vitamins!

Mason Who can really say the nutrient count in a fruit/veggie is,you have to take into account the storage, condition, how the produce was grown, when it was picked, etc...and even then I've yet to find anybody that pick up an apple and can tell me how much vit c is in it just by looking at it!
