Date: November 11, 2008 07:50AM I have pomegranate stains all over my Mac screen. I have 2 friends who have trees and are bringing me pomegranates. I love them. I eat them while I'm on my Mac but I've made such a mess. They are one of the messiest fruits to eat but they contain a high level of antioxidants and, well, they're good.
I've had 8 pomegranates in just 3 days. How many have you had this season? Re: Pomegranate stains on my . . . . .

Two so far, but I bought 5 more today Here is how I eat them: put pomegranate messy goodness into bowl. Take banana and a cup of water and blend well, so it becomes a milk. Pour over pomegranate kernels ---> yummmmmmmmmm! Thats some kind of cereal Have you discovered any good way to peel them/scoop them out? It takes me forever! Re: Pomegranate stains on my . . . . .

Date: November 15, 2008 01:42AM to get the seeds out of a pomegranate, cut it in half or fourths and put them all in a very large bowl of water; then simply pick appart the waxy membrane from the seeds and the seeds will float to the top while the waxy outer layer will sink. So after that just strain it
i wish i could see some good old organic pomegranates...all i've seen is conventional how effected are pomegranates by pesticides/herbicides/not grown organically? Re: Pomegranate stains on my . . . . .

Date: November 15, 2008 03:33AM i think poms are lower on the pesticide scale like avo's .. the thick leathery skin (which we dont eat either) isnt as condusive to absorbtion say ...as a peach Re: Pomegranate stains on my . . . . .

Date: November 15, 2008 11:26AM yeah i thought they might be a little safer; the nutritional content is also probably different though, as any conventional vs. organic product usually is
you're welcome; i've seen it recommended on an article and again on a show that was featuring the fruit haha Re: Pomegranate stains on my . . . . .

Date: November 15, 2008 05:46PM Hm, I tried that out last night, and it worked the other way around! The seeds sunk and the white flimsy stuff floated to the top. It was easier to get them off their little sackets, though, when immersing in water. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
