Date: November 20, 2008 11:21AM well .. the TMJ is actually a peice of cartalige so it in itself cant *relax* ..the mucles to and from it can relax ..and the bones it joins to can strengthen ...
cartilage is not like connective tissue tho ... it doesnt have blood supply to it ..and it grows and repairs really slowly would raw foods help..? pretty much the answer is the same to your other question about posture directly .. no .. indirectly probably yes ... if it interests you google .."free anatomy and physiology courses online" there is some facinating websites on how the body works at micro-biological levels that are in plain laymans english easy to *get* and understand really its alot of pretty neat stuff Re: TMJ in Jaw...Does raw help it?

Date: November 20, 2008 02:49PM Yes, the temperomandibular joint and disorders of it are far too complex to give a simple yes or no answer to your question, IMO.. raw can help as with many symptoms, but if that means someone is trying to make a quick transition to manually chewing boatloads of tough raw produce during a detox from cooked, and ignoring TMJ symptoms in the process, you can do yourself more harm than good.
There was a thread about TMJ disorder a little while back.. [www.rawfoodsupport.com] Re: TMJ in Jaw...Does raw help it?
