I've been Raw for 4 months now. I've lost a lot of weight and still get fatiqued and dark under the eyes. I eat alot of superfoods, fruit and nuts. Do I need to get more Carbs in to me? Does anyone know how? Thanks Greg Re: Carbs

Please remember that superfoods aren't foods so much as they are supplements; whether they are necessary is debated. Re: Carbs

Date: September 11, 2009 12:13AM "Superfoods" are basically a marketing ploy. Blueberries are the only alleged "superfood" that I make sure to eat.
The truth is that ANY fruit and most vegetables are just as good for you. Go by what your body wants you to eat. People think that if they eat a poor diet and have some "superfoods" then they'll be healthy... it's all marketing. Re: Carbs

Date: September 12, 2009 07:05AM Salt may be a culprit, as well.
If you have dark circles/bags under the eyes, try eliminating salt, including Himalayan, Celtic, Sea salt, Braggs, Nama Shoyu, etc. I've been using almost none of these items for the past two weeks, and my dark circles are nearly gone. I've also cut out most of the fat in my diet, going to an 80/10/10 style of eating - lots of fruit, for breakfast and lunch, greens for dinner, with one source of dietary fat with my dinner salad, in a smaller amount (tonight, it was orange-hempseed dressing. I had about a tbls of hempseed). You might try upping the fresh food of your daily diet. Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much We are all in this together!
