Date: December 11, 2008 09:44PM I use grapefruit seed extract at the first sign of a cold or flu. GSE is a broad spectrum anti-microbal that works on app. 800 total strains of bacteria, viruses, or fungi. It does not harm the beneficial bacteria in your body either so you won't end up with yeast overgrowth like you often do after taking antibiotics.
Once you start taking GSE, it stops the offending organism from replicating so you can stamp something out pretty quickly. Just remember that you must take it more than once or the offending organism can continue to replicate. I usually put 15 drops of GSE in water 2xs daily for 3 days. Re: Better then a Flu Shot ?
