I love how it has banana/ pineapple / something else taste. It's also bizarre enough to warrant some attention. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 12/14/2008 11:43PM by RusticBohemian. Re: Monstera Deliciosa

Date: December 16, 2008 03:59PM Suvine, once it starts peeling itself, how long do you wait to eat it? I live in NY, and I've only had one monstera deliciosa. I wasn't sure how long to wait because it didn't seem like it would fully peel before it spoiled. I stopped waiting because the exposed part of the fruit was starting to turn brown. Basically, you eat the exposed part, let it peel itself some more, eat the newly exposed part, etc. From what I remember it can't be eaten all at once. Edited 1 time(s). Date: December 16, 2008 10:50PM Thanks, Omega.
We don't see them often in New York State, but I'll be traveling to California and Florida this month, and will keep an eye out for one. (I'm not really sure where they grow.) Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
