Date: December 22, 2008 02:47AM According to wiki, there is no such thing as organically grown chinese gojis, the farmers use large amounts of chemicals, so it would be impossible to obtain real organic gojis...
The article i am poting is from wikipedia, but i have read this elsewhere as well... [en.wikipedia.org] So the organic goji berry market is a rip-off/hoax? Re: Organic gojis, a hoax?

Date: December 22, 2008 06:24AM Hi Mira
I've heard that goji berries from China have certainly been chemically treated recently (if not before?), and that is why Detoxyourworld in the UK are not selling them at present. I'm told that the berries from Tibet are OK...according to a specialist goji berry supplier here. Hope that's correct :-) Re: Organic gojis, a hoax?

Date: December 24, 2008 01:41PM I don't think that bit is fully accurate, that goji's don't grow at high altitudes. Other berries grow at high altitudes.
The other thing that I heard was that gojis can grow in the himalayas but wolfberries which are very similar to goji berries often get sold as goji berries don't and the two get confused. Re: Organic gojis, a hoax?

What makes goji berries so special? Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
