Just Dropped in to introduce myself;
Posted by: Anonymous User ()

I just joined the forum today, this is my very first post. I have been experimenting for several years with raw food/veganism but have never made the total jump. I just had my 57th birthday three days ago, I also had a very hard look at my health, I have 40 pounds to lose and feel awful. My joints hurt and I just do not feel up to par. Saying that I realized last night at about 8:30 that I have to take my health in my own hands. This morning I had a raw smoothy and raw walnuts for lunch I had raw tomato/ carrot soup with a side of raw sprouts. I am not going to consume cooked foods from here on out. I know it is difficult because i have done this before, but I have to do something to get my energy and health back. Wish me luck.

Hello and welcome. Congrats on your decision. Be sure to supplement w/vitamins & minerals in the beginning and eat enough variety. Also, you might need to do some parasite zapping for the aching joints and some detox cleanses.

Good luck. Therese

I am not certain that luck will get you there. However, courage, commitment, and patience will. We are here should you need any help along the way.

Thanks to everyone that dropped me a post. Yesterday went quite well, when the detox gets in gear, i know i am in for a miserable time but it should be worth it in the end. I have heard some horrendous detox horror stories. It'll be awhile before I get to the point where i can do mostly fruit, maybe that will not be the path that i take at this point i just want to feel better and lose some pounds. Hope everyone had a great Christmas. JH
