Are peanuts raw?

Date: June 25, 2010 01:11AM Peanuts are terribly susceptible to aflatoxin, a dangerous fungal contamination, so in most cases, peanuts must be pasteurized for sale. I think it's the same as with "raw" almonds--they aren't really. On raw food order websites, they have "jungle" peanuts, which are different, not processed this way, and very tasty. Expensive, though. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
