Date: January 07, 2009 10:50PM I like to start my days with the juice of a lemon in 20 oz of water. Will this damage my teeth? Re: Can I drink lemon water everyday?

Date: January 08, 2009 03:49AM I asked my dentist the same question: Am I damaging my teeth by drinking daily lemon water? She said: "No, certainly not. You would have to eat many lemons raw, daily, for a long period of time before they would have any affect on your teeth." Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 01/08/2009 03:53AM by shane. Date: January 08, 2009 04:28AM Yeah, it probably does whiten them somewhat, but biting into citrus does a lot of damage to the teeth, esp. the anterior ones.
I think it would be safer to drink citrus juice without getting it on the teeth, like through a straw or something. [www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov] Re: Can I drink lemon water everyday?

Date: January 08, 2009 05:15AM My dentist. I really like her because she tends to take in the wide view. I asked her about mercury. "Eh," she said, "We tend to worry about the wrong things. Citrus, mercury... Now, riding your bicycle around in India for a month like you're contemplating, that, I think, would be more harmful to your teeth than citrus or mercury."
