Dear Suvine
Posted by: sunshine79 ()

I know you don't want to but would you pleeaaase tell us your age?? I need the inspiration. I always thought you were in your 20's but on one of your blogs it says "People have NO IDEA how old I am, they would just die." Your skin is fantastic for any age but if you're anywhere past your 20s then it's simply incredulous.

I know the raw diet slows down aging but HOW MUCH??

Thanks!

I'm sure she is laughing at this. as it is something I think should have been treated privately.

but I have to throw in my two sense that she somewhere towards the end of her mid twenties and entering her late twenties.

the raw diet alone will not slow down aging, but living passionately and with purpose...in conjunction with healthful habits (more importantly lack of unhealthful addictions and obsessions including many non-food related) will...and she has that in spades.

I've been at this for almost 25 years, and I can tell you for sure that juice fasting and water fasting will 'turn back the clock.' I don't get the same results with the raw diet alone, by itself, but I believe the addition of fasting from time to time is a phenomenal method to slow down aging.

I thought mid-thirties, but she says also that we "wouldn't believe it," so I assume it's forties.

Having met Suvine, I can verify that she is very attractive, and looks in her late 20s tops. As to her real age, well, you know...the raw food (high fruit!!) diet...mid-60s?

Hey Dave Mason, you there? Dave, can you organize this...? We could do this as a fundraiser. Dave's in FL as well as Suvine.

We could start a betting pool and send the proceeds to a worthy cause! smiling smiley

Guys,
I just checked her website-- she's back online again as of Feb. 3. Her sister has cancer, so she's going through a tough time. Send her loving thoughts.

Physical appearance proves very little. Beyonce Knowles is beautiful, she was born that way, it is not a raw thing. The most important thing is how we feel in our body not how we look. Some got it naturally. I am more interested in reading about people who were overweight and work their way to a natural body shape.

VERY good point, madinah. On the whole, folks in the raw food community are a pretty attractive and great looking lot. But I always cringe when comments and inferences are put out there on raw food forums that women raw foodists who are 'doing it right' are ALL going to be very skinny and very beautiful and eternally young looking with no wrinkles, or that male raw foodists should be gorgeous hunks who are super-toned and athletic looking all their lives. In reality there is a huge range of body types and 'personal best' responses to the effects of a raw food diet; setting one rigid, false standard of the ideal body image is counter-productive and discourages a lot of people, and can cause them to chase after near-impossible goals by undereating and over-fasting to lose weight (women), or gorging on too much raw and fat-laden food to bulk up (men).

Clearly, there needs to be a more realistic attitude toward aging: For instance, even the slimmest, healthiest among us often get a few wrinkles and a hint of sagging skin here and there after the age of 55 - 60. (Trust me, I know.) ;-p

In my opinion, the cruelest posts are the ones that blatantly critize certain raw foodists for not looking good-- for being 'fat,' 'bloated,' 'old looking,' 'haggard,' etc. We don't know how far they've come, what physical problems they have had to overcome, what stresses they might temporarily be under, etc.

Case in point: I know a long-time raw food teacher who went through a major crisis over a period of a couple of years: this individual accidentally absorbed a very poisonous substance, necessitating the need to water fast and juice fast for several months. Of course he lost a lot of weight, and he was pale and weak while he went through this ordeal. A casual observer could easily have criticized him for not being an ideal raw food standard-bearer, when in reality had they known what he was dealing with, they would have admired him for tenaciously healing himself according to hygienic principles.

I think she's busted & has a bad attitude but that's just me.

I'm voting that Suvine is 21-23.

Sucks about her sister. But hopefully she'll beat it, people beat cancer everyday.

Yeah, I see your point.....I have a lot of people ask me about raw foods and expect that I had some sort of health problem or was overweight; when, in reality, I was already very healthy, very fit, and looked great, too.

Personally, I'd like to see more raw foodists with toned muscles, whether they be male or female; I notice a lot of bony or less-than-toned individuals. If we're focusing on health, we need cardio and resistance training in our lives.

I also think Suvine has a beautiful face; I guess it's a good thing she's happy with her own body. HER opinion is the one that matters!

Oh, me too; I think daily exercise is a vital component of a healthy raw food lifestyle. I just don't think every raw foodist can look like a model, even if they eat right and get exercise. I'd like to see MYSELF with better-toned muscles, but I have to either work out 3+ hours a day or be content with what I've got-- my body seems to be rather highly resistant to developing muscle tone.

Suvine is SUCH a cutie. I could see her being wildly successful in some segment of the fashion industry with her beauty and fashion sense. Gosh, I hope no one thought my comments were in reference to her; quite the contrary. I was just responding to Madinah's post.

Hi guys, I stopped posting here cause once you post and it's saved, it will never be deleted, not even if you quit your account, so I try to post on forums that my posts I can delete if I choose. It's a privacy thing. All posts here become the property of this board. Not cool.

You can find me at GITMR or 30 bananas a day forum. I post every few hours on those boards. I like how you can delete your old posts and threads if you like. Privacy is very important to me.

Never know when I am going to move on or I dont want photos I post up anymore linking me to me. You understand.

As for my age I am ageless, but I am not as old as you guys say I am, sad smiley Bummer!!! Thanks geez,

I want to say thank you for all the kind words. I feel I have friends here. I am one of you. I am, you are my people and i will protect all of you.

Thanks.
PS
Never ask a woman's age. Good luck!!

I agree not ask age (not only because I am a Europian HEHE) not because vanity but the ninety-something years old Norman Walker advised in one of his book that when you eat raw do not share your age, because people usualy put you in a certain category, based on your age and not based on your newly gained health and energy level or on your hopefuly youthful outlook. I thougt abou it an then I followed his advise.
Well, is`t might be true but Of corse everyone`s philosophy is different about it I guess ,so share it or don`t if you want, just stay rawsmiling smiley

That's awesome advice Lejla, and so true! I agree with suvine about the dificulty with posting on this forum, On other forums I've gone back to posts that I've made months ago and deleted them or amended them. Another option that I love on other forums is the ability to look at all the messages that have been posted that day on one page. It makes it so easy, you only have to access one page and you know what is going on everywhere on the forum. That said this forum still rocks!

I love to tell people how old I am. people always think i'm 15 or 17. sometimes i am just like yea, i'm 15. I'm really immature though, and I have a baby face so i think i'd look very young even if it weren't for the fruit, but who knows?

suvine is an exotic hottie whatever age she is.

I tend to tell people how old I am too. I never understood the thing about women hiding their age; to my thinking it's just a relic of ageism and sexism. You'll notice, men are almost never shy about their age.
