Date: January 22, 2009 06:40PM Does anyone have/use an Excalibur Dehydrator? I have heard that they are much better to use than the round dehydrators and some models come with timers that shut them off automatically.
Are they worth the high price tag or are they just another gimmick? Re: Excalibur Dehydrator

The Excalibur has a temp adjuster that dehydrates the food at a low enough temperature to preserve nutrients and enzymes. The commercial ones you buy at Target or whatever heat-dehydrate food. It's cheaper, but kills all the good stuff. This is where I bought my Excalibur: [www.discountjuicers.com] Re: Excalibur Dehydrator

Date: January 23, 2009 04:03PM I agree, the Excalibur is the best!
I've heard that the Good4U dehydrates at a way lower temp than what you set it at, doubling the time to dehydrate anything! Sunflower Raw Food Chef and Writer Comfortably Raw [www.comfortablyraw.com] Re: Excalibur Dehydrator

Date: January 24, 2009 06:04PM Thanks. I like the idea of maintaining all of the enzymes. I was kind of thinking that the one that I currently have been using must be killing those off because there is no temperature monitor on it.
Thanks for the website. I will check it out to see if I can find an affordable Excalibur. -kj Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
