Hope so -- I add a couple of tablespoons to my green smoothie every morning. I make mine with kale and whatever fruit I have on hand (oranges, tangerines and apples right now). I grind the seeds first.

Try blending Flax Seeds with Water before
adding the other ingredients.
As far as combining goes, I'd say they go best with
Greens.........WY

I sometimes sprinkle flax seed over a green soup. Looks pretty!

I don't see why it would be a problem. Adding 1 tbsp of ground flax to a smoothie of orange, banana, and a cup of kale takes you from 1 to 4 g of fat, from 5% to 15% fat. It's still very low fat to me.

You women are cute.
I sometimes add a little fat to my Green Smoothie, but
it's best to go 'no-fat' for the best Cleansing Diet....WY

It's best to be sure that your intake of omega3 is adequate. Since vegans don't eat fatty fish they do well to get a little bit extra, such as 1-2 additional grams which total to a whopping 9-18 calories.

I add unground flax seeds to warm green smoothies without fruit (soups), I think it makes it more satisfying and filling.

What if I'm eating coconut oil and avocado? Don't I need to add some omega-3 to balance that out?

Avocado is neutral, it should not make a difference in your conversion rate.

But too much coconut can be a hindrance, it can also clog your arteries.

Generally you need to balance o3 with o6. High sources of o6 are pumpkin seed, sunflower seed, most refined vegetable oils, etc.
