Some thoughts about my 30 day raw food trial

Date: February 16, 2009 03:40AM Hello good people,
I can't believe I'm already done with my 30 day raw food trial. Yesterday I had my first meal of cooked food- an Indian lunch buffet- my absolute favorite meal pre-raw. I would literally dream about going to my favorite Indian restaurant while in my 30 day raw.. So anyway there I was and definitely loving every bite.. then I put down the fork and it was such a weird sensation. I felt absolutely stoned! All day I felt fuzzy and dumb, then a bit sick. I'm quite shocked at the effect a cooked meal would have on me after only 30 days.. Today I'm back with the green smoothies and the wonderful fresh fruit. So simple. And tonight I'm so happy and clear headed again. For dinner I had a wonderful heirloom tomato with basil and I just sat there for a bit admiring the wonder of nature in the tomato and it's seeds, Do any of you do this? Yes I'm sure you do! Your body gets used to "clean" and "light" and then suddenly you give it "dirty" and "heavy." It sounds to me a lot like what people go through after they have quit smoking for a time and then light up again. Re: Some thoughts about my 30 day raw food trial

Date: February 16, 2009 03:20PM Oh, yeah, I'm guessing your @#$%& will stink today (assuming it didn't before if you were very clean raw for 30 days) and you'll be bloated and notice your digestion is slower. You'll be okay tomorrow!! Just be raw today. It's a good lesson that we've all probably learned. Re: Some thoughts about my 30 day raw food trial

Date: February 16, 2009 03:38PM Sometimes I just eat really simple meals like good tomatoes, yeah. Those are the best! Easy to make, easy on the body, easy clean up.
I love this food. Re: Some thoughts about my 30 day raw food trial

Hi! I noticed I felt great while drinking green smoothies of spinach, bananas, and raw brown rice protein. I also supplemented with macro green powder. I have one every morning. For 2 weeks I had food delivered from a local raw food restaurant. That really helped me a lot. Lots of raw apple pie! Yum. My diet definitely included fats: avocados and nuts. I'm still getting used to feeling satisfied in a light way after a raw food meal. Cooked foods have that heavy numbing feeling which is quite addictive, yes? Also, I have been feeling soo cold, does this every go away? Thank you for the support and any input is appreciated! Have a great day, CB Re: Some thoughts about my 30 day raw food trial

''' ----------------- I agree with the cooked foods, The cold feeling for me has never gone away but you get used to it and i actually like it now, i like to wrap up warm even when i am exercising (most of the time) its FAR better than being hot and sweaty - that can make you irritable. Date: February 17, 2009 10:16AM Hey Cutie,
Great job.... I started on 1/1/09 & have been 95% raw most days & 100% other days. I agree, when I eat cooked ( today it was 2 baked potatoes) I can definitely tell the difference. While at work tonight I had some zuchini pasta for dinner along with some red grapes for a snack. When that 'light feeling' comes back I feel as though 100% permanently isn't too far off. Still it's a balance between being focused without being in a hurry. I'm 53 & I feel better than I have in DECADES. I hope you'll be extending your 30 day trial. God Bless.......
