Date: February 13, 2014 10:13PM Can any one tell me Lutein and Zeaxanthin rich foods other than spinach, kale ,chard and turnip?
Why heating/steaming of spinach increases the value of Lutein and Zeaxanthin 20 times? Re: Lutein and Zeaxanthin

Date: February 14, 2014 05:04PM Thanks Panchito, Spinach Lutein and Zeaxanthinvalues looks like after steamed, am I correct?. Is it same the case for Kale (it's hard to digest), is it also cooked value?.
So I guess only Gojiberry is feasible for raw foodist. Re: Lutein and Zeaxanthin

Date: February 14, 2014 05:19PM A raw fooder can eat steamed veggies. The rule is that you can eat up to 25% of your calories cooked (preffered steamed). But if you want to be a 100% then you are more limited. It is the same as being called a fruitarian but also including salads, veggies, seeds, and nuts in small quantities. Edited 2 time(s). Date: February 14, 2014 05:28PM Thanks Panchito, I am on full raw but this information is very useful I can suggest to my Boss Dr Good Life and it can be incorporated for guests staying in our Institute. Re: Lutein and Zeaxanthin

Date: February 14, 2014 05:34PM 'raw' is a guideline only. For me, it is best to seek 'health' as a goal. Re: Lutein and Zeaxanthin

Date: February 14, 2014 05:48PM Suez, I agree with Panchito, since in our Institute we have seen many to suffer on 100% raw , may be due to non-celibacy life and not every one has very thorough knowledge like you with access to organic fruits/veggies in our country. Re: Lutein and Zeaxanthin

Well I don't know about that but I know that for myself there is no way I could stay 100% raw without my Vita Mix. I make big wonderful raw vegan cold soups with it in minutes. And, of course, the Conductivity Diet helps enormously because it is so satisfying. I never get cravings or get overly hungry anymore. Ever. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 02/14/2014 08:18PM by SueZ.
