Watermelon

I got and ate my first watermelon of the season today and it is so yummy. As I was thumping on the watermelons to find one that "rings" I was listening more closely then I have before and I noticed the "ring" or sound made when knocked varies from a low frequency sound to a high frequency sound. Which sound is better or does it matter as long as it has a good "ring" ?

I don't know, but I have had two watermelons so far, or at least as much as I could stuff into my mouth before my kids ate it all out from under me, haha!!!

It's still not quite sweet as I think it will be, but it's so irresistable!!!

Wow, I could run back to the store right now and buy a bunch more, but they are still pretty pricey! Will just have to pace myself!

I also had one of those rare perfect fruit of the gods cantaloupes the other day - and luckily for me, none of my kids were around and I got to eat the entire melon all by myself!

Is there a more perfect food anywhere on earth than melons?
