what are you buying in bulk??

Date: June 13, 2009 04:17PM I rang the fruit wholesaler last night, they are just a few streets away. The prices are imense and the produce amazing...cant wait to go get my boxes of melons, oranges and cucumbers!!

Date: June 14, 2009 01:47AM I always keep coconuts on hand and buy them by the case. Also when I can get ripe or close to ripe mangos I buy them by the case. Other items, especially greens, I buy in small quantities just on time. Re: what are you buying in bulk??

think the fruit man nearly had a heart attack when he realised he was going to a house..not a business with 5 cases of fruit..lol..yes just me..lol nobody else..not running a pie business from my kitchen lol Re: what are you buying in bulk??

Date: June 15, 2009 01:49AM I buy sunflower seeds and chia seeds by the 5 pound sack.
I buy carrots in 10 pound sacks. Frozen blueberries in the largest bags I can get -- usually 3 or 4 pounds. I bought a 10 pound sack of onions once... unfortunately, almost half of them were bad 
I do buy the large bins of spinach or salad greens (now, my salad greens are growing well in the garden, so only the spinach, until my spinach is big enough to harvest!). Date: June 15, 2009 11:05AM Mangos. I buy really raw almonds by the 5 lb. bag when I am in California. Right now we are "growing in bulk" -- kale, lettuces, radishes, strawberries, collards and spinach, this week. Re: what are you buying in bulk??
