Hello, to all I am 6 days new to the raw and just feel the need to put something out there to the U. I have tried this in the past and failed I will not fail this time. In past I have always caved in to the flesh usually fish after 3-4days,(not this time) I am however feeling some cravings unlike anything before and just needed to talk about it. I know that my body is struggling to adjust to this lighter fare and I have felt nausea for about 2 days any suggestions?

Hello all4greens,

Good for you. Persistence wins. Drink plenty of water to flush your system out. Good luck.

HI, Congratulations. I have found that it is ok to crave anything, just fix yourself a salad or eat some fruit or have a rich treat that is raw and you will work through it.

Something that has worked for me is to go to a raw cafe or Whole Foods raw area and buy something already prepared. It feels like a treat and I don't feel like I am denying myself. I didn't lose any weight at first because I think I was overeating all of the time to try to overcome my cravings, but that has leveled off. I may be the only woman who could gain weight on a raw diet. I know my doctor looked at me in disbelief when I told him I was raw.

Right. Don't concentrate on depriving yourself....but rather STUFF yourself with the fruits & vegetables you find most appealing. Do this more and more often...and the food itself will be your medicine. Health, in my opinion, is granted much less from the healthy foods....and more so from what you are NOT eating. Heh..heh.
