Cayenne Powder

Can someone give me some insight on the Heat Units that go along with Cayenne pepper, and if they are linearly getting "hotter" in taste and in healing properties the higher the HU? I've seen them range from 30000 to 120000?

Yes, higher HU means hotter.

I don't know about "linear", as in being that noticeable, because to me it gets to a point where "hot is hot", & that isn't discernible to me at very high heat ranges.

I typically use right around 40,000 for my dishes/drinks, etc. I do enjoy the "hot" taste, but I don't like it unbearable. I believe I did hear somewhere that the healing properties increase with the higher heat ranges, but maybe someone else could confirm that.
