Hello to you all

Hi I'm new to this site, but not to raw food.
I have been experimenting with raw food since about 2004.

These days I eat mainly fruit and greens with the occasional nut and dried fruit.
I am not currently totally raw. I still eat small amounts of steamed veggies/ potato with family, mainly during the weekends.

I have just recovered from a sprained ankle. It took 2 months to heal.
Today is the first day that i have been able to exercise properly for two months. It feels great

I look forward to sharing and taking part in this site with you all.

Welcome FF,
I can really relate to your position...about being raw except for some steamed veggies, and the injury.I was down for 7 weeks with gout, and its so great to do my walks in the park again.

I am 100% sure it was the clean raw pure foods that cured my gout.

Vinny

Hi
thanks for your comments.

Tamukha cheers, my ankle gets stronger daily.

Jodi,Love the pic! wonderful!

eaglefly,I agree with you about clean raw foods healing gout.

I know that my high raw diet ( plenty of greens) helped the sprain heal efficiently. It took time, but its healed well.

I'm pleased that i managed to stay as high raw as i did through my healing, as periods of discomfort and will often draw me back to comfort eating.

Hi bella88

I have made almond milk.
Its best to Soak the almonds for a couple of hours or overnight before processing.

Have you tried banana mylk?
Its much cheaper than using nuts and you can make it very quickly.
Bananas, water, process ,strain if you wish, maybe add ice- done.
My daughter liked a little vanilla essence added before processing. She drank lots of it when she was young.
Choose ripe bananas. Its delicious.

I make almond milk all the time. It is very easy -- the hard part is finding the really raw almonds. I add a little cacao and a banana or two and freeze it into popsicles for my daughter.
