I'm not looking to be told the reasons why i should not do it or enter into a debate about harmful effects. I'm just trying to find out if others here juice fruit. I get lots of energy from drinking fresh fruit juice. I find it very sustaining. I also enjoy the positivity and lightness of spirit/ connected feeling that I have come to associate with drinking fruit juice. Anyone else experienced this positive awareness? Would you care to share your experiences? ffx Re: Fruit juice anyone?

Date: September 09, 2009 10:08PM I juice a lot for different reasons. Sometimes for a recipe, or to offset a bitter or sour flavor of a vegetable or starch. Often, I will juice citrus, lemon or lime to flavor water or make salad dressing. Usually most fruit I eat whole. Juicing is a wonderful adjunct, esp for juicing vegetables and adding fruit juice to compliment strong vegetable flavors, e.g. adding apple juice for collards/kale. Similar to eating Indian food when you are offered raita for strong and spicy curries.

When I still had my juicer(lent to a friend), I'd sometimes do citrus juices, usually just one kind of sweet one + lemon juice. Really liked it--felt very alert and eyebright. Could've been my imagination : ) Re: Fruit juice anyone?

Date: September 09, 2009 10:15PM Hi there,
I juice apples in an apple/carrot/beet drink daily. Thats the only fruit I juice. All others I eat whole. I am glad you mentioned that connected feeling. I too ALWAYS feel better (ie. connected, peaceful,ok with the things) on raw foods,as opposed to anything else. I find the apple carrot beet drink has given me more well being too. None of this can really be put into words. It must be experienced by each person. Wether it is just the thought of eating raw foods knowing that they are what my body wants,or if they actually make me feel better, the end result is I feel better in the ways i mentioned eating the raw foods. Date: September 10, 2009 12:17AM I eat most of the fruit I eat as whole foods. The exception is citrus fruits like oranges or grapefruits. I find this to be a great way to get the bioflavonoids that are concentrated in the white pithy part of the peel. I like to throw some garlic cloves into the juicer with the citrus for a really tasty drink. Re: Fruit juice anyone?

Thanks. As regards 'connectedness' I have found a deeper connection from juicing veggies than simply eating raw. I found an even deeper connection whilst juicing fruit than juicing veggies or a combination of fruit and veggies. Something i can only describe as cleaner and clearer (if that makes sense to anyone!) I suppose its just one of those things that you have to experience to identify with. ffx Re: Fruit juice anyone?
