Thank you all for the beautiful and inspirational posts. I have been in quite an emotional struggle this past week as my son has been in quite a physical and emotional crisis. We lose perspective when we are in the middle of a tornado. I am looking for the calm in this storm called life. I believe this notion of gratitude just may provide the calm in the eye of the storm I am living. The re-set button has been pushed as I set out into today and its challenges. Remembering to be thankful, even for our trials, because it is a beautiful life. Thank you all.

but a rather extremely short life in the grand scheme of things

so even trials are a part of the tapestry of this extraordinarily brief moment in time when we are humans and walk upon the earth

i feel very blessed to be alive on this earth at this time

this might seem like a strange thing

but it is actually true

i am not sure why

well,i guess it is because

for any living sentient being

especially a human

all and everything can be taken away from them

money
loved ones
reputation
health

i mean... look at 9/11

in the blink of an eye

everything can disappear

and quite frankly

the only thing that a human being really has

and can count on

as long as they are alive

is their life itself

so i am very grateful that i have this

right now

and who knows

probably in my next life

i will have life as well

maybe it is true

that our souls are eternal

well

i am not going to ponder on that too much

because

i am focused right now on this life

and the stunning ness of being alive

right here

right now

and yeah

we do make a BIG FUSS about it

it is hilarious

makes me laugh
