Worry and Digestion

I think everyone has probably worried about something at some time in their lifetime and felt their stomach tighten up as a result. I think the difference between an excessive worrier and a laid back person is their ability to view the source of the worry as small stuff and forget about it. What are your thoughts about worry ?

This should be a good thread.

Mark Twain said "I worried about a million things in my life, most of them never came true."

Its one of the hardest things to learn in life, as I am seeing, but let go and let God.

The result,if you can get to that place,is peace.

Honestly, I do not worry.
If i were to worry, it would be about future or past events.
I focus on the present moment.
It is impossible to worry if you are fully present.
You only ever have that moment to deal with.

If i feel anxious or nervous then it will be about a past or future event, so i use it as a prompt to focus on the present.

I catch myself reacting to unpleasant news or behaviour sometimes, as old patterns die hard, but i also use that as a nudge to return to focusing on the now.

I also experience doubt occasionally, i do the same with that. Recognise it, return to the present.
In the present, you can deal with any issue effectively.
Practicing consciousness has changed my life in ways that i could never have imagined.

In the past i did worry and get anxious about things.
Honestly I'm worry free.

The Fruit Faery is right, there is only now. Everything happens now, the stuff that happened or will happened is not real. In that place, what is there to worry about?

Yeah. And worry is a part of the stuff that kills us. So don't. Seriously, when there is worry there are unknowns and when you can observe and question you get those unknowns resolved and the worry poofs away.

Thank you, thank you all for this valuable info. It is never too late to change one's thinking. I shall practice this..in the moment now.
