Date: October 04, 2009 03:42AM I don't eat sprouted chickpeas. I don't have experience with them, but I have heard that they can be hard to digest. Many people will make a raw hummus using zucchini instead of chickpeas.
But others have had good experience with sprouted chickpeas. You will have to see if they work for you. Re: eating raw soaked chickpeas...no cooking or sprouting?

Date: October 04, 2009 01:31PM I eat about 5 of them in my lunch salad every day.
I soak, then sprout till the tails are about 1/2" long. Never have any problem. Vinny Re: eating raw soaked chickpeas...no cooking or sprouting?

Date: October 04, 2009 04:51PM I recommend sprouting--soaking the seed in water rehydrates it, but that's not the same thing as germinating it. Soaked is dormant, wet, granted, but dormant. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
