eating raw soaked chickpeas...no cooking or sprouting?

is this safe? soaked overnite and then just as they are?

i soak them for at least 24 hours cause they are tough otherwise...but i usually blend them up into hummus...and eat them like that

I don't eat sprouted chickpeas. I don't have experience with them, but I have heard that they can be hard to digest. Many people will make a raw hummus using zucchini instead of chickpeas.

But others have had good experience with sprouted chickpeas. You will have to see if they work for you.

I eat about 5 of them in my lunch salad every day.
I soak,then sprout till the tails are about 1/2" long.
Never have any problem.

I recommend sprouting--soaking the seed in water rehydrates it, but that's not the same thing as germinating it. Soaked is dormant, wet, granted, but dormant.
