Date: December 15, 2009 06:03PM They are actually still un ripe. I will have to wait a a few days. I usually massage ones that i want to eat the next day, it helps them ripen. Little trick. Re: Mmmmmm Persimmons

Date: December 15, 2009 10:28PM The Hachiya Persimmons ( like the ones i have in the picture above ) have to be eaten when they appear to be spoiled. You have to wait till they are very very soft to touch. So much that when i poke the skin with your finger it doesnt "give " back. The inside will be like jello.
The fuyu ones, you can eat hard like an apple. Both can be eaten with the skin! Do not eat Hachiya if not fully ripe! any more questions lemme know eddie Re: Mmmmmm Persimmons

Date: December 16, 2009 09:14AM Thank you for the video. I was hoping you would eat one or open it up in the video to show the insides and/or how you eat them. Can you tell me what the flavor is like? I don't recall ever eating one before, but always wondered about the flavor. Thanks for the info. ***************************** "Educate and inform the whole mass of the people... Date: December 23, 2009 11:28PM The Hachiya persimmons have always tasted toxic to me,
even when there really soft and I eat them towards the top of the hachiya it tastes bad (toxic). I've never had a good Hachiya persimmon, but the Fuyu persimmons are absolutely fantastic to eat. Re: Mmmmmm Persimmons
