Is psyllium raw?

Date: April 19, 2010 11:48PM I have had, as a morning concoction in the past, psyllium mixed into a glass of distilled water with the juice of one lemon and a bit of whole-leaf stevia. The psyllium was not Metamucil; it was the husks and no extra ingredients.
(*Funny little aside: I worked in a health food store for a few years and there was this one character who would always come in and ask my co-worker or I for some "FA-SILLY-UM!" We'd always crack up afterwards...) Re: Is psyllium raw?

I have rice protein powder; I have used it a few times and it's recommended as an alternative to soy protein because of the soy isolates and all the isoflavones. Re: Is psyllium raw?

It's an old thread, but I was wondering would not psyllium be preferable because of the arsenic issue with rice? >Banana ice-cream rocks!< Re: Is psyllium raw?

Date: June 12, 2012 11:49PM Psyllium is an ingredient in some raw gourmet foods due to its thickening properties. Re: Is psyllium raw?

I suppose! But on the other hand i thought there is only so many veggies I can fit into my mouth during the day. Whereas with psyllium because of its properties little goes a long way..... I also read that recent research indicates that people need more fibre that is currently recommended. So I bought the psyllium just in case, keeping in mind that can always use it as a thickener. And now I'm trying to figure out what really should i do with it! >Banana ice-cream rocks!< Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 06/13/2012 05:53PM by chat.
