Date: June 29, 2010 02:01PM I know its weird, cause I have multiple friends that love durian, but honestly it smelled like rotting feet to me the one time I had the opportunity to be around one, I plugged my nose however and tried a piece, and actually enjoyed its flavor and texture considerably, maybe next time I will be brave enough to try it without plugging my nose,lol. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh, mirror in the sky What is love? Date: June 30, 2010 12:20AM I was born in the year of the tiger and don't like durian It's definitely an acquired taste.
If you're curious, try it. To me it tastes like something between rotting caramelized onion and pickled pumpkin. The texture is quite gooey, which is another reason why it doesn't appeal to me. Video of tiger tasting durian: [arkive.org] Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
