"The king of the Malaysian jungle apparently has a taste for the king of fruits. A farmer came across a pair of tigers eating durians in his orchard and fled for safety before the beasts could look up from their pungent feast and come after him, a newspaper reported Thursday. Azad Othman, 26, was in such a hurry to leave the orchard Wednesday that he left his motorbike behind"

Yes, I've heard that tigers will favour durian over people. But, personally, I don't think I'd put it to the test...

Haha smiling smiley Maybe they were 'raw' tigers?

When I had durian my cats were fascinated! Cats and dogs seem to love really stinky stuff!

I know its weird, cause I have multiple friends that love durian, but honestly it smelled like rotting feet to me the one time I had the opportunity to be around one, I plugged my nose however and tried a piece, and actually enjoyed its flavor and texture considerably, maybe next time I will be brave enough to try it without plugging my nose, lol.

What is love?
Can the child within my heart rise above?
Can I sail through the changing ocean tides?
Can I handle the seasons of my life?

I've never had it. Should I give it a shot? This fruit has such an intense reputation, I have to admit I'm curious. Where does it come from exactly? It's big in Thailand, right?

I was born in the year of the tiger and don't like durian smiling smiley It's definitely an acquired taste.

If you're curious, try it. To me it tastes like something between rotting caramelized onion and pickled pumpkin. The texture is quite gooey, which is another reason why it doesn't appeal to me.
