Date: September 09, 2010 10:19PM We picked up one today. Looks interesting, never had before. They say it tastes similar to pineapple...we'll see...
It will be a few days, as it still has to go through the ripening process. [en.wikipedia.org] Re: Anyone eat Monstera deliciosa?

Date: September 10, 2010 01:19AM I understand they have a "pungent" smell when ripe. I hope I can determine when "ripe" is... Re: Anyone eat Monstera deliciosa?

Date: September 11, 2010 12:45AM I've eaten it and love it. However I don't see it often and when available, it's expensive. The texture of the ripe fruit reminds me of a soft ripe banana. Very important to let the scales fall off by themselves rather than try to peel them off. otherwise it may make for uncomfortable eating. Hope you enjoy it. Wishing you vibrant health Re: Anyone eat Monstera deliciosa?
