Date: September 30, 2010 12:44AM Great video - smart kid.
Unfortunately, most of the audience was into the "cute little kid" performance, laughing and giggling instead of actually learning anything. But he has it right - - - and Homeschoolers rock! Re: wow this is a must watch!

Date: September 30, 2010 09:47AM why is this 11 year old boy doing this? fine he seems to be convinced, but what about his real motivation to get on stage and learn by heart? that's not normal! he's 11 don't forget! I guess he's being used by some adults, that ain't nice. Re: wow this is a must watch!

Date: September 30, 2010 10:39AM Want2know - i think that's rubbish. He is a very bright and articulate child. My son is 13 and feels just as passionately about animal welfare.
There is no doubt he has grown up in a family that obviously talk about all this stuff. My child wouldn't know about intensive dairy systems or the hideousness of battery hens unless he had heard it from his cradle up BUT he thinks for himself now, makes his own choices etc. Children are far more passionate about animal welfare and 'saving' the planet than 95% of adults. I'm sure this kid enjoys being on the stage - he's a confident little guy and no doubt gets a kick out of being cheered and clapped but don't dismiss him just because he is 11 and it is unusual for a child his age to be so articulate and confident. Date: September 30, 2010 02:49PM Ahem, I was this smart at 11. And so were most kids I knew; and we weren't some sort of alien cloning experiment from a secret lab under a mountain Re: wow this is a must watch!

Date: September 30, 2010 04:51PM I don't need telling that you were that smart Tam unfortunately there are a lot of numbed out kids today that are barely articulate at 11 which is maybe why Want2know had that reaction. Re: wow this is a must watch!

Date: September 30, 2010 08:50PM Thanks, flipperjan. I guess what I meant was, considering the topic and that he's fed whole foods, he's homeschooled, and he's in Asheville, NC(pretty much the greenie capital of the Carolinas), his precociousness shouldn't be a shock. There are a lot comments under the video questioning whether he's just regurgitating his parents' words, which I think is unfair to the boy. Re: wow this is a must watch!
