They actually have cherimoya at my local grocery store right now that I can't wait to try!

Hi Trive
Here is a video I made on youtube about one of the fruits called cherimoya, which we call custard apples here.

As OkunDeji stated, I too know that fruit as custard apple, or Noi na in Thailand. It gas a very similar taste to cherimoya. I love the langsat fruit, which I also had in Thailand.

At the Raw Spirit Fest, I had for the first time ever, a fruit called White Sapote which I found amazing. It tasted like a cream-filled apple!

Yes, white sapote is awesome! I had it last year for the first time. It was kind of like a mix of apple, pear, and mango!

There was one of those customs programs on- some guy got fined $8000 for trying to smuggle snakefruit into Australia by hiding it in his trainers!!!!

Thanks to your lists (I think it was one of the previous ones), Trive, I recognised the fruit instantly grinning smiley

Interesting list...

Rambutan isn't as nice as lychee, imho.

I'm surprised to see "Physalis" in the list - it's pretty sour, even when
eaten at optimal ripeness.

Jaboticaba - hmmm, we planted 3 trees 12 years ago and they have grown well
but never fruited.

Durian, yep, love it.

Miracle fruit - don't trust it.

Mangosteen - extremely disappointing. I've had a number but never enjoyed it
much. Perhaps the taste is too subtle for me.

Cherimoya - nice, but sweet and sickly after eating 3 or 4. Prefer Rollinia -
a less sickly, more pear-like flavor in the same family.

Jakfruit - delicious, but pretty slimy at optimal ripeness, and takes ages
to digest.

Monstera deliciosa - this has to be the most caustic fruit ever. It burns
the mouth and the throat, even at optimal ripeness (when the segments are
peeling off). Pineapple is bland by comparison. We have a few plants
(they sucker along the ground), but never eat it.

White sapote - yes, delicious. Hard to beat the birds to it, though.
