raw holiday treats for office?

I volunteer part-time at a hospital. Does anyone have ideas on special raw treats for nonraw coworkers? Something that doesn't require dehydrating?

Thanks! smiling smiley

Jicama, carrot, and celery sticks, and various raw dips... could make a fun lil party platter... I'll try to think of some more ideas after I wake up! goodnightsmiling smiley

I'm a huge fan of coconut date rolls, or any variation of that. You could pulse whatever nuts + cranberries in a blender and roll them into balls. Something like that would probably go over well, be super easy to make, and probably be relatively inexpensive.

Dried fruits and nuts. Fruit kebabs (can also be made with dried fruit.) Apricots and banana chips half-dipped in chocolate.

Blackberry Cobbler!

1 pkg frozen black berries, thawed. I think it's like 10oz (2 cups)

take 1/3 cup berries and pout them in an food processor with an S blade. add 2tbl agave and blend for a few seconds. This is the sauce for the berries.

1c walnuts
1c pecans
1/4t sea salt
1/4t nutmeg
1/4t cinnamon
8 medjool dates pitted

Back in the food processor blend the nuts and spices for a few seconds and then add the dates and blend until it starts to stick together.

Put half the nuts in a dish for the bottom crust. Combine blackberries & sauce and pour over crust. Crumble remaining topping on top.

You could add a 1/2c coconut to the crust if you wanted.

Wendy: I am copying down that recipe! It sounds fabulous. I suppose you could use blueberries, right? I am just wondering what's available at Trader Joe's right now...Curious: is there some reason why you mention frozen berries thawed or are you just thinking about this time of year? I am wondering if fresh is the same or if the berries need to be chilled.

There's no fresh berries in Oklahoma this time of year. I do blueberries too. We also have no whole Foods yet or Trader joes. Very VERY limited organic stuff so I get what I can. We have Wal-Mart and a couple of local grocery stores and that's it. Whole Foods comes in the Spring I think.
