Question About Fruits...
Posted by: Yogamama ()

I am full of questions today, I guess! Are there certain fruits that are better to eat in the morning, and ones that are better in the evenings?

Thanks again!

Personally speaking and trial and error, I find that citrus fruit is better in the mornings or watery foods. Then before my evening meal, I eat heavier things like bananas. If I eat a bananas at lunch, then for the part of the evening meal eat a honeydew, I seem to get indigestion because the bananas are still digesting from the noon lunch, and the honeydew is trying to move past the bananas because it is more watery and easier to digest. I eat mono mostly, keep in mind, and I don't make smoothies. Hope this helps.

There is no real rule. Usually more portable and lighter fruits are better in the mornings - while juicy melons and papayas are great for evening preparation. Heavy avocadoes are nice to reserve for lunch. Just my experiences.
