Too much Kombucha?
Posted by: buddhistforlife ()

I have been drinking a lot of kombucha recently, and I am wondering if it may or may not have any negative consequences. Been craving it, actually. I drink maybe a quart or more per day. Once in awhile my stomach gurgles a bit, but digestion is very good.

By the way, I make my own.

Bear in mind, it can be mildly alcoholic.

i'd be careful with your teeth, as it's acidic. rinse with water after drinking. that's the only negative thing I can think of smiling smiley

Oh, good point-- as much as I love lemons and grapefruits my teeth don't. I must rinse or the sensitivity will be felt immediately!

LOL. Just came to this forum after I downed a bottle of Synergy and this is the first thread I see.

I go through phases with it. Once in a while.. then I crave it.. then I don't want it anymore. The B-vitamins in it are turning my urine that retroactive yellow color..so maybe I was lacking in b's or something.

This is a very good tip lisasmiling smiley, sames goes for water kefir and many other fermented foods. Any water also lowers the stomach acid which is beneficial to allow the good bacteria to survive.

Which is why its best fermented foods/probiotics these first thing in morning and just before bed.
