Raw food diet and migraines?

Date: March 10, 2011 02:29AM Hi, I am new to the site and have been thinking for quite a while about changing over to a raw food diet. Problem I wonder about is that certain fruits/vegiges can trigger migraine. For me bananas/grapes/citrus, and have heard avocados also. So is there anyone out there who has migraines and started a raw diet? If so I would love imput and advice on how to get started. In the past I have tried eliminating a lot and tried my best to eat natural but fell off the wagon so to speak because of not educating myself enough. I really believe there could be a way to balance the migraines and hopefully even eliminate them. Mine are triggered by foods, weather changes, hormones, and smells. This site is wonderful-Thanks all! Re: Raw food diet and migraines?

Date: April 20, 2011 11:01PM Sorry this is really late... but I'm definitely a chronic migraine sufferer, though they're mostly triggered by non-vegan foods (chocolate, eggs, cheese, dyes, etc.) and strong sunlight (cause, you know, I'm a vampire.) Going raw can be very beneficial, in my opinion, because you'll be getting a lot more direct (nondenatured) vitamins (B, in particular) and magnesium. I know that kale has pretty much saved me. Good luck to you. Re: Raw food diet and migraines?

Date: April 21, 2011 01:21AM I get one once a year. Since I started raw its been more rare. Funny though, I just had one a couple of days ago and it was horrendous and ill timed. I guess it wasn't funny at all.
Since I get them infrequent I never done much about it, but I don't think there is much for someone like me to do about it due to its infrequency. I've never discovered my triggers but I do get auras. david Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
