Date: March 18, 2011 03:18AM I have heard of it as "hungry water". Does it leach out toxins ad well as minerals? What exactly does it remove? februarygirl Re: Distilled Water

Date: March 18, 2011 03:24AM I would assume due to the process of osmosis that it would leach out some of everything, no? I'm not a scientist though so don't take my word for it. There must be some real info out there somewhere... Re: Distilled Water

I was happy with this stainless/glass distiller: [www.nutriteam.com] takes about 6 hours as it says. If you start with hot or even boiling water it will shorten the time, but only my cold water is filtered and I'm too lazy to boil it. Re: Distilled Water

Pure Distilled Water tests at near Zero ppm (parts per million) of TDS (total dissolved solids). I'd be willing to bet those small stills are only about 80% effective.....meaning Tap Water at 250 ppm is only brought down to 50 ppm with your machine....pretty good, but not in the ballpark as far as I'm concerned.....WY Re: Distilled Water

Date: March 18, 2011 08:41PM Lots of things in water become vaporized themselves and then condense back into the water. I don't think a distiller takes out fluoride either. Re: Distilled Water

The better distillers have a volatile gas vent that supposedly allows harmful vapors to escape. I think it probably works better in Theory than in Fact. > I don't think a distiller takes out fluoride either. Test results show it does, but to a lesser degree than Chlorine and Solids, if I remember correctly.....WY P.S. I still owe you that T-shirt. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
