Date: September 19, 2006 10:01PM I sliced open a lovely Medjool papaya this afternoon and the seeds were sprouting! I've never seen this happen before in any fruit. Please tell me that it is okay to eat the papaya at this point...it was delicious.

Date: September 21, 2006 07:44PM I have eaten many Mexican papayas (maradol or something like that not medjool, which is a name of dates) that are so juicy that the seeds have sprouted inside the fruit

Date: September 22, 2006 10:15PM You're right. It is Maradol (or something like that). I bought another one yesterday. They are soooo good and make the most satisfying smoothies ever.
