I received a strange phone message this afternoon

Date: April 06, 2011 10:29PM I was listening to my voicemail and this recording said that there was a recall of medjool dates from Sam's Club and that it looked like I could be affected by this. They said there was no contamination with the dates but that it was a labeling issue. Okay, here is the problem: A) I am not a member of Sam's Club! Never have been--may have once walked into one of their stores but never bought dates, nothing. 2) The only place I have ever bought medjool dates is Trader Joe's. I know Aldi's owns TJ's, but Sam's Club is Walmart, I believe. 3) I have an unlisted number! This is so freaky to me because dates are obviously something I would buy but why and how they did call me?! Re: I received a strange phone message this afternoon

Date: April 06, 2011 10:33PM One more oddity--what could the labeling issue be? There's only one ingredient! Re: I received a strange phone message this afternoon

unless they called you by name? Id not pay attention to it. If in your area just dialing numbers, To inform. Number could be from a previous customer. Have no worries. Hmm dates peace Smiley Dave. label could have wrong weight or were it was from! Re: I received a strange phone message this afternoon

Okay, here goes: [cdn.pimpmyspace.org] I just was trying to figure out what was going on! I mean, Walmart and other retailers now can put trackers on merchandise...The Feds are busting raw milk producers, taking their computers and looking for their customer lists...Maybe all medjool date buyers are automatically SUSPECT?! Date: April 07, 2011 09:56PM Good one, LV!
Update: I called the actual company and the customer service person laughed when I asked how they could get my number. She said that whoever had my number before probably was a Sam's Club member. In any case, the label is wrong because they say there's only 1 gram of sugar instead of 29 grams, LOL, as well as the wrong fiber content. All's well that ends well... Often times when people sign up for things they will put a fake number (I know I do!). Looks like you were a winner! Re: I received a strange phone message this afternoon
