Growing food indoors

Date: April 19, 2011 10:16PM Hi everyone,
What kinds of food are people able to grow indoors? I planted a few things just as an experiment, but I don't know if it will ever do anything. I planted a lime, and it is making an attractive house plant. Are limes known to product fruit indoors? I planted some seeds of a goji berry, and a plant is about two feet tall now! I don't know if I will ever see a goji berry. its worth a try. I am going to order some soapberries at some point, because i theorize that they will do ok indoors, provided I maybe put some ice in the planter during winter months. I don't know what else to try. Anything that is something easy and likely to produce leaves, fruit or something else edible? Thank you! Re: Growing food indoors

Date: April 20, 2011 08:29AM if it has a window with really good sun exposure most of the day, a dwarf brown turkey fig can work really well indoors in a LARGE pot... but it really needs to have good sun... they are better as an outdoor potted plant, brought in during the winter if it gets cold where you are... dwarf lemons also, and some varieties of dwarf bananas will also do about the same, but Im not sure if they produce edible bananas or not, id have to look that up again. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh, mirror in the sky What is love? Can the child within my heart rise above? Can I sail through the changing ocean tides? Can I handle the seasons of my life? Re: Growing food indoors
