If you are not going to eat sweet fruits, where do you intend to get the bulk of your calories? Is it from greens, or from fatty foods (avos, cocos, oils, nuts, seeds, etc). If it is from greens, you ought to take a look at the nutritional calculators to see how much greens you are talking about. If it is from fats, you'll find it doesn't take much fat to get a lot of calories, but then you have a diet that might be 60% fat or more, which is about 40% too much. The Standard American Diet is 40% fat, which is a very high fat diet. All the long lived populations have a fat intake that are under 15% fat. Re: Which fruits are low in sugar?

Date: September 25, 2006 04:40AM Everyone I ever knew that ate fresh noni (including myself) agrees that it tastes pretty horrible, but maybe it's an acquired taste (Is that why you were laughing VeganLife?)! It's used more as a medicinal, both for external and internal purposes. I'm currently eating dried raw organic noni every day for its (claimed) anti-inflamatory properties.
I agree with Bryan that it might be a good idea to check the nutritional calculators. Even though you're not concerned about calories, it takes a certain amount of calories every day to keep from being too hungry all the time. If you're not eating much fruit, then it's very possible you could end up eating way too much fatty foods just because you're hungry. If too much calories come from nuts and seeds, you may end up having to digest more fat than is healthy for you. IMO nutritional calculators are helpful because you'll be able to better monitor your nutritional options - no matter how you choose to eat. It would seem that the calculators would be especially helpful for anyone whose diet is raw AND restricted. Best wishes, -Ally Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 09/25/2006 04:46AM by Ally. Date: September 25, 2006 04:53AM Not that i'm decreasing the amount of fruits I eat per say, it's decreasing the amount of high-sugary fruits and increasing low-sugary fruits to = lower sugar in diet.
Same with fats. Though man, eating Avocado + olive oil + sea salt + lemon juice IS YUMMMMMMY. Re: Which fruits are low in sugar?
