What to do when you cut open a non-ripe fruit?

Date: September 23, 2006 10:09PM I've cut open cantelope and avocado that are half ripe and just thrown them away.
Do you think I could somehow continue to ripen fruit that have been cut open? What do you all do to make sure your fruit is ripe? Put them in a paper bag overnight even if you think they are ripe? Thanks! Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 09/23/2006 10:13PM by Lillianswan. Re: What to do when you cut open a non-ripe fruit?

Date: September 24, 2006 10:02PM That's real interesting about the avocado healing, you'd think it was like . . . ALIVE . . . or something. Wow, that's something I never considered before. I always thought that once it was picked and cut off from the plant the sap stopped flowing. I'll have to try it next time. Thanks! Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 09/24/2006 10:14PM by Lillianswan.
