6 Years raw

Hi again!

Thought I'd just pop in for my yearly post. Even though I don't read or post to this forum very much any more I said I would post yearly updates as long as I am raw. Anyway, I have been raw 6 years (since June 1st 2005), and still 100% raw. Things are pretty much the same as the last time I updated. I don't think I've encountered any long term "side effects" of bring raw. I general I pay very little attention to what I eat (I haven't really been counting fat, protein and carb intake or anything like that), I just eating what I feel like.

Random things: In January my wife (an omnivore) had a baby daughter - no fertility issues being raw :-). The tool I've probably gotten the most use from has been my BlendTec Blender - although it was expensive, it's been well worth the money. I occasionally take B12 supplements (3 to 5 pills a year). I am not sure if I really need to take it, but I know some people who have suffered from B12 deficiency and I would prefer to occasionally take the supplement rather than have problems. I don't take any other supplements. Also, I quit smoking cigarettes about 6 months ago.

Anyway, I'll try to check back and respond to any questions/comments. And a big "HI!" to anybody who I exchanged posted with back when I was active here!

Cheers!
Ian.

Congratulations on quitting smoking! That's a very big thing, and definitely difficult to do.

I remember seeing your posts in the past, including the pictures you shared of your weight loss, as these were encouraging as an example of the progress that can be made with raw foods.

Wishing you vibrant health

Congrats! It's amazing that you were smoking most of the time, too. Congrats on that as well. Could you describe what you eat most days? I think that would be very educational. Hope you are still reading posts on here. I was intrigued by your remark about not keeping track of fat intake and was curious what types of foods you eat, whether you use a dehydrator, etc. 6 years is a long time 100% raw!smiling smiley
