What do you typically eat in a day??

Do you typically eat whole vegetables or do you spirialize veggies and add dressings?

Do you drink green smoothies or do you eat whole fruit? Do you juice instead?

Do you eat and prepare foods that are similar to conventional foods, i.e. do you make raw tacos using walnuts for your "meat" or lasagna using zucchini pasta?

I'm curious as I'm meeting many vegans and their "meals" are so vastly different from one another~

I'm still carving out my newcomer path and finding what I like best~

Typical:

Breakfast: blend 12 bananas with a staff mixer, 1 teaspoon dulse.

Lunch: Spray a bit of B12 under the tongue, Half of a big water melon.

Dinner: Various fruit leftovers like 1 kg peaches, 8 passion fruits, 1 kg carrots.

Later: a big head of iceberg or 10 tomatoes or 0.5 kg celery.


I stay very close to 90/5/5. From today I'll try to start having One day a week I do more of Gabriel Cousens' kitchen. That means Eating only 300 grams of nuts and 2 litres of green drinks with the last meal about 2 pm.

I do not have a typical day. What I eat changes in season and periodically as my appetites change. I have days when I am stuck on fruit, and days when I eat fruit and lots of salads, sometimes I might make a recipe. I have some examples here, but these are not necessarily indicative of what I might be eating on any day:

Breakfast is:
lemon ,watermelon,or cantaloupe juice.Mixed with enough water to make 1 quart.
Lunch is juiced: carrot,beet,apple,cucumber,radish,celery,dandelion,romaine,kale,parsley.
Dinner is nuts and seeds,sprouts,and a fresh steamed veggie.
I am Not 100% raw.

I do not take any time to make a dish that would "simulate" a cooked one,ie raw pizza.

Still, it's very, very healthy! It's fun seeing what people eat.

Not 100% raw....

typical day...

Breakfast: Big green smoothie with spinach, apple, pineapple, dates, flax, etc whatever else I put in.

snack: 2-3 bananas

Lunch: A salad, usually with sprouts and maybe some nut cheese

snack: either a green juice, more bananas, or a slice of raw cake.

Dinner: BIG salad, tons of sprouts, tons of raw greens, tomato, avocado, etc. Then usually a cooked dish, either a stir fry or curry or a bowl of black beans.

Generally, big green smoothie for brekkie and lunch; in the summer I usually mono-eat whatever fruit is in season instead some mornings--figs tomorrow, awright! Salads in the pm with some cold pressed oil or seeds, sometimes some cooked veggies; whatever's in season. Started growing sprouts again and eating those with a single other veg, such as cucumber, in lieu of a salad. Sometimes eat cooked low fat vegan, such as beans or rice, at the end of the day, but not in warmer weather typically.

It varies, but eating only fresh, seasonal produce is what I am aiming for. How to live in the Upper Midwest without bananas, that is the question . . .

the only real staple is a big green salad around 4pm.

the rest of the day is spent grazing on fruit. Occasionally ill have a green smoothy for breakfast.

My mornings and afternoons stay the same, for the most part. I'll start of my day with about 32 ounces of green juice (swiss chard, celery, cucumber, apple, lemon, ginger). Throughout the afternoon, I'll eat tons of fruit: oranges, grapefruit, peaches, nectarines, plums, cherries, bananas. There are several fruit shops down the block from where I work so I usually get an armful of whatever looks good.

In the late afternoon, I'll snack on about half a bag of baby carrots with a minimal amount of homemade almond butter.

For dinner, I'll usually start off with a good-sized kale and tomato salad *or* a nice serving of fresh gazpacho. After that, I'll eat an entree: usually zucchini pasta with a homemade, nut-free pesto sauce, or a big piece of raw lasagna, or a raw veggie burger over some spinach, or raw sushi filled with a vegetable pate.

Then the best part: dessert! This is usually a raw banana-date-cacao-tahini ice cream or 2-3 small date-almond-sunflower seed-cacao cookies.

breakfast: smoothie 1/2 cup of nut mylk or seed mylk (usually hemp or walnut), 1 tbsp ground flax, 1 cup spinach or microgreens, 1 cup cruciferous leafs (kale or collards), 0.5 mg Dr Furhman DHA, 1 tbsp maca root, 1 1/2 cups of frozen wild blueberries.

Lunch, 1 cup anti cancer soup (tomato, carrot, onion, garlic, mushrooms (steamed), salad (microgreens, dulse flakes, tomato, raw carrot, raw cucumber, cactus/pomegranate dressing), 1 orange, 1 serving melon, 1 serving berries

Dinner, green juice (1 cup), berries and nuts.

Whatever I want! That's what so great about this lifestyle: 100% satisfaction, zero guilt.

Right now, I'm munching on a large plate of fancy hors d'oeuvres. Slices of cucumber from my garden smeared with some garlic cashew cheese and topped with half a cherry tomato. Nom, nom, nom.

Paul, are the lentils sprouted or cooked? I guess it doesn't matter all that much but I was curious if you are 100% raw or not. I forgot.

Banana, kiwi, apple and 100-150g of leafy greens for breakfast. Or watermelon (lots).

Lunch is broccoli, carrot and similar veggies, with nuts or seeds or sprouted beans, plus a salad with tomato, sprouted broccoli, onion, bell pepper (or cucumber, sprouted alfalfa, leafy greens and so on). One brazil nut for selenium.

Then snack - couple of fruits, could be anything.

Dinner is again broccoli, carrot and similar veggies with 1 avocado and 2 tsp flaxseed. Or carrot and sweet potato with 1 avocado and 2tsp flaxseed. Plus similar tomato, sprouted broccoli, etc salad as for lunch.

Late night snack could be couple of fruits again, or a stick of celery.
