using raw aloe vera

Date: September 08, 2011 07:34AM Hello, I have some aloe vera growing in my garden. My husband brought a couple of leaves in that had fallen off when he was working in the garden and said could we eat them?
I thought we could put them in a shake or something but I think I 've read somewhere that there is something toxic in aloe vera that has to be removed first. Does anyone use aloe vera and if so how do you prepare it? in what quantity can it be taken? Thank you! Re: using raw aloe vera

Date: September 14, 2011 01:08PM I don't know about the toxicity warning, but i've had aloe chunks in juice from the store. So refreshing, but also supersweet! They have all these different flavors. Kiwi and aloe is my favorite. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
