I dont think animals are necessarily any better equipped then humans to handle stress.. they do succumb to stress ..wild or not .. environmental stress, physical stress, emotional stress, etc etc.. Again survival of the fittest seems to win out here .. or sometimes the smartest .. ...Jodi, the banana eating buddhist Re: Weight loss, stress and motivation

Thank for sharing your experience. I hope you find the inner strength to work at your situation. Nobody has ever said that eating alone was the solution or the problem. My point is that stress is not the problem it is rather how we react to life situation. People are not gaining weight in parts of the world where there is famine because there is no food to eat but in countries where food is plenty every time there is a situation we cannot handle we use food as a stress remedy, we loose control of our lives and this bring on more stress. Date: December 22, 2011 07:25AM The main issue is not stress but self control. We are all familiar with the delayed gratification experiment with children who were promised more if they could wait a little longer to eat their marshmallow, those who could wait longer where found to have more control in their adult life.
